The Scar 17, the epitome of efficiency for a rifle chambered in .308, it light weight and low recoiling. It's been referred to as the Ferrari of rifles, exception to the rule, or even the .308 freak of nature because of it's lightweight, barrel profile and still maintaining long range accuracy.
You've probably seen the spec's for the Scar 17 but here they are; it's chambered in 7.62x51 NATO or .308 Winchester, it has a hammer forged barrel that is chrome lined with a 1 in 12 right hand twist rate with a length of 16.25", the upper receiver is a hard anodized monolithic extruded aluminum upper, it is operated by a short-stroke gas piston system, it has a folding and telescopic stock that allows the weapon to be fired even when the stock is folded, it comes with a proprietary 10 or 20 round aluminum magazine, and all the controls are ambidextrous except for the bolt catch and release. On FNH's website they list the weight of the Scar 17 as 8lbs but I got 7.4lbs on my scale.
I am not going to go over the history of the Scar platform and series of rifles, because it been done hundreds of times, the information of how it was developed and it's adoption by the US Special Forces is readily available.
Today we are going over the issues that the Scar 17 had and how they are corrected to make the ultimate battle rifle. This really is just my opinion but FNH would have been better off with making some of these changes themselves.
The first and biggest issue with the Scar 17 is its trigger module (a.k.a lower receiver) and the magazines that it uses. I have no fucking clue why FNH would opt for proprietary magazines or why the US Socom wouldn't make them change the mags from that bullshit to the more reliable, less expensive and already in service SR-25 style magazine.
So when I bought my Scar 17 the first thing I bought and changed was the trigger module. As of now there are two manufactures that make SR-25 compatible trigger modules for the Scar 17. The first and most well known is Handle Defense, they make a few trigger modules from aluminium and magnesium. Then there is X Products, there trigger module is newer to the market, and it is the one that I went with. X Products trigger module is made from aluminium and is far more aesthetically pleasing than both the stock trigger module and the Handle defense trigger module.

On the left the standard trigger module and on the right the X Products X-17 trigger module
Having the ability to use SR-25 magazines makes the Scar 17 more efficient, compatible and interchangeable with most of the other .308 chambered rifles I own. I use Magpul Pmag 25 LR/SR magazines 25 rounders that brings me to a few more benefits, the first is its a Pmag, Magpul makes probably the most reliable and battle proven magazines in existence. And the next benefit is Pmags are far more cost effective than the proprietary mags that FNH chose to use, the standard Scar 17 mags cost around 40 to 60 dollars if you can find them for sale, while Pmags cost around 18 to 20 dollars. So the choice for me was easy and Pmags fucking rule.
The next change I made was that ugly, rattly, Ugg boot looking piece of shit buttstock. I ended up going with the Vltor VSS-11 Scar stock, Kinetic Development Group make a good Scar stock but I like the angle and feel of the Vltor stock far more, nothing more needed to say about that.
The other not so huge but more ergonomic changes that I made to the rifle is the pistol grip and the selector switch. The pistol grip I choose was the Magpul K2 grip because I like the steeper angle. And the selector switch I went with is the Magpul SSG selector switch for the Scar family of rifles because it is far more comfortable to use than the standard selector switch.
There are more changes that need to be made to the Scar 17 to make it more effective for the way I plan to use the rifle, look out for part 2 of the ultimate Scar 17 build.

Pertaining to the fucking Nazi rally in Charlottesville, VA. My opinion on the matter is simple we are the United States we fought and won a war against Nazis and pieces of shit like them, so none of us should be waving or carrying that flag or symbol. It is the symbol of our enemy, and the only time any U.S. citizen should be in possession of any flag or symbol like that is as a war trophy and it should be accompanied by some fucking Nazi scalps.
So wherever you as a Citizen of the United States see the enemy, Nazis or Commies fight them and exterminate them because they are a cancer in our great nation. And I want 100 scalps from each of you.
Update: Fuck Nazi's and Commies

To all you fools and social justice warriors who would give your left nut/ovary for Sanders and , this is the end result of socialism.
After a year of economical crisis Venezuela has been heading to its defining moment...
According to The Washington Post, "Today has been a day of sober reckoning in Caracas, as Venezuelans process the death of the recall process and its implications. It’s easy to overdramatize these things, I realize, but it’s also important not to lose the forest for the trees: a relatively large, relatively sophisticated major oil producer just three hours’ flying time from the United States has just become the second all-out, no-more-elections dictatorship in the Western Hemisphere."

Noir is one of my favorite YouTube shows by NRA commentator Colion Noir.
This is the premiere episode of season 5 of the show: Power. It give an amazing explanation or the responsibility that gun owners accept. It was a good episode but I think he was way to easy on the anti-gunners in his last segment.

SOE Cop Rig in Kryptek Highlander
The Special Operation Equipment Cop Rig (Shotgun Rig) is a one of a kind (from what I have seen on the market) chest rig tailored for a shotgun.
It is made from 1000D Cordura and built to last just like everything made by SOE.
The Cop Rig can be made to order for both left and right handed shooter, and it comes in a variety of colors and patterns (Black, Coyote, Olive Drab, MultiCam, Black w/Red Thread, Kryptek Typhon, Kryptek Highlander, Kryptek Mandrake). The rig can hold a total of 36 rounds of 12 gauge on six 6 round 12 gauge cards 3 in the front and 3 in pouches to the rear, or it can be configured to hold 18 rounds of 12 gauge and 3 M4 magazines in the pouches to the rear. It comes with a tear off Med-pouch, that can house blow-out kits or an IFAK, there is also a large pouch on the back of the rig that is Velcro lined, so you will be able to add many Velcro compatible add-ons, like; a Velcro backed holster, pistol mag card, rifl mag card, or an SOE Tool Organizer.

Here are the details directly form the SOE site.
The S.O.E. Cop rig is the perfect setup for the patrol man.7" tall x 13" wide. On the right side of the rig there is a Tear Off Compact Med Pouch. On the left side of the rig is three 12 Ga trays holding six (6) rounds each. Three (3) extra trays in the pockets behind holding six (6) more rounds each giving you a total of 36 rounds of 12 gauge or remove the back 12 gauge trays and with the included bungee retention you can hold three (3) M4 mags. The entire back panel is a flat pocket with 12" long loop Velcro for attaching most of our Velcro backed pistol cards or TOOL Organizer. Comes with standard adjustable webbing shoulder straps. We recommend adding a Slim Padded H-Harness for extra comfort and the ability to add a Hydration Carrier.
Like in the title of this post this is just a preview of the SOE Cop Rig, a full review will come soon after I run this bitch through a Shotgun class.

I want to start off by saying that this is not an advertisement, I am not funded, sponsored, nor have received any free shit to review from Special Operations Equipment (SOE), because I know how people are on the internet, and just in general.
This is just my opinion of the undeniable quality of a product.
This is just my opinion of the undeniable quality of a product.
I have tried many duty belts, many inner belts and even more gun belts and very few companies even came close to what I wanted in any of those categories.
But one day me and some buddies were out enjoying a day of Freedom (a.k.a range day) and I was getting pissed off because this PIECE OF SHIT 5.11 gun belt, I believe it was the 1.5" trainer belt but I'm not too sure, was sagging under the weight of the gun and pretty much falling apart.
My buddy Mike saw my frustration and showed me the belt he was wearing. It looked and felt like the most rigid and sturdy belt I had ever seen, it was all around well built. He told be where he had gotten it and informed me that if I did order one I might be in for a little wait, but assured me that it would be well worth it.
By that recommendation I was introduced to SOE.

1.5" EDC Belt with promotional white and blue Combat Cock
The Combat Cock was part of a promotion that they had been running. They run these promos every now and then giving you pretty good discounts and free shit ranging from a variety of things; many different Combat Cocks, bags, and other nylon gear.
Now back to the belt. On inspection the belt is a simple yet very rigid 1.5 inch nylon belt with a cobra buckle closure. It was very well made and the stitch work is beyond superb, it looked like it was made to take abuse.
The belt looked great, it looked strong but looks can be deceiving, so my plan was that I was going used the hell out of it. And so I did, I used the hell out of it, from classes, to plinking at the range, to just using it everyday and eventually using it as an inner belt while on duty, it impressed me more and more, it didn't fall apart, it held its stiffness and rigidity and just worked perfectly.
Special Operations Equipment had impressed me with the quality and durability of there product, they had definitely gained a life long customer. I ended up purchasing more things from them, a lot more. I bought more belts from them, which are still running strong.
For work I bought a duty belt with a hook velcro lining to replace my old galls duty belt, a velcro lined low profile inner belt. And I also bought some of there other nylon gear, all of which are fucking amazing and durable.
More recently I ordered another duty belt from them, my original one is still going strong and still looks new the 4 years that I have had it, but the new one looks better because it sports a cobra buckle.
All I can say is that if you want durable quality made in the United States nylon gear ranging from chest rigs, belts and bags look no further than Special Operations Equipment, they are the best at the craft. No matter what other brands of belts I have bought and used, I always end up going right back to SOE belts and the other band belts go right in the trash.

The Shooting Club app take a fun and new approach to bringing the firearms community together. It touts itself as "The world's first social shooting experience", bring many people to call it the Facebook for guns. The app launched on both Android and IOS in May of 2014, and has started to gain a pretty large following. The Shooting Club allows people to talk about firearms, compare experiences and compete for cash and prizes.
Here is the way the creator describes what the application is ideally about;
"The Shooting Club is the world’s first shooting sports app that allows users to find a local indoor shooting range, improve their firearm safety and marksmanship, connect with other shooters across the country, and win cash and prizes - regardless of skill level.
People new to the sport of pistol shooting can be intimidated at a shooting range, due to a lack of knowledge and experience. The Shooting Club helps eliminate that intimidation and empowers beginners and experts alike, by providing training videos and safety tips, making practice more fun, and improving marksmanship and self-defense in a rewarding way."
My hand on time with The Shooting Club was an enjoyable one, the app still need work to fully functional on android (or at least across all android devices), and you do have to purchase proprietary targets to use the full functionality and main purpose of the app but besides that it was very fun. You have the ability to create your own groups and compete amongst friends and you can compete regionally and nationally regardless of skill level. The app truly brings the firearms community together in a new and interesting way. The only downside is the expensive proprietary targets but besides that the experience is awesome.

Gun control Liar
Virginians Citizens Defense League (VCDL) filed a suit against Katie Couric and "Under the Gun" director Stephanie Soechtig. The $12 million defamation lawsuit is for the misleading edits to the 2016 film they touted as a documentary
The misleading edits to the film the VCDL said made members appear stumped by Couric's gun control questions, when in fact they were not.
"Katie Couric has publicly admitted that the film, which was presented to VCDL as a 'documentary,' was misleading and misrepresented VCDL," Phillip Van Cleave, President of the VCDL, Tod FOXNews.com. "However, Couric and the other filmmakers have refused to fix the film or to even stop promoting and distributing it. The only way to hold Couric accountable was to file a lawsuit."
